Count Day Is Wednesday, February 11th Count Day is one of the most important days of the school year because the number of students present directly affects the state funding our school receives. State funding is allocated on a per-student basis, so higher attendance on Count Day means more resources for student supports, programs, and classrooms. We appreciate your help in ensuring students are present for the full day. Thank you for your support and partnership.

Remaining Saturday School Date for 2nd Trimester Attendance Matters - what is Saturday School at GLHS and when might a student need to attend? Attendance is an essential component to a student's academic success. Often, the number of days that students are absent accumulate without them realizing how name days have been missed.
If a student reaches 7 absences in any class per trimester without documentation, they may lose credit and the privilege to participate in extracurricular activities, including school dances. The student would then be encouraged to attend Saturday School with our Deans of Students to work on school assignments to ensure credit.
Saturday School runs from 8:00am – 11:00am in the Media Center. The remaining date for 2nd trimester is February 28.
Building Access After School Hours Please be sure to coordinate rides at the end of the school day. Students who are involved in those activities must also stay in the designated area for those activities, and cannot wander the building. Students waiting for rides must wait in the front lobby or outside, and should not engage in any horseplay. Students not adhering to these guidelines may be asked to leave the building.
